Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Jonathan D. Lesher, DPT, CSCS

LTC Lesher is a native of Pennsylvania and received his B.S in Health Sciences from Lock Haven University, commissioning in ROTC as a 2LT in 1999. He served in Yongsan, South Korea as the operations and 2/3 IN 2ID as a platoon leader before attending the US Army-Baylor Physical Therapy Program where he earned his master’s degree in physical therapy and subsequently earned his Doctorate in PT from Temple University.
LTC Lesher has served in in a variety of clinical, operational, and human performance roles to include assistant chief Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Chief Vicenza Health Care PT Clinic, and Department Chief at Guthrie Healthcare Clinic Fort Drum. He has served as a Brigade PT for 1BCT, 101st IN, 173rd ABCT, and as the 1st Special Forces Group PT with multiple combat deployment to Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Philippines. Prior to joining the team at CIMT, LTC Lesher served as the Division Program Director for the 10th Mountain Infantry Division H2F Program Director where he oversaw the original H2F pilot and initial role out of H2F at Fort Drum, NY.
LTC Lesher currently serves as the H2F Physical Domain Lead for the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Center for Initial Military Training.

LTC Paul E. Haney Deputy Commanding Officer
108th Air Defense Artillery Brigade Fort Liberty, NC
LTC Paul Haney is currently serving as the Deputy Commanding Officer for the 108th Air Defense Artillery Brigade at Fort Liberty, NC. LTC Haney’s most recent assignments were as an Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Observer/Trainer (O/T) for the Deployable Training Division, Joint Staff J7 Training Directorate, Suffolk, VA and as the Air and Missile Division (AMD) Advisor and Program Manager, United States Military Training Mission (USMTM) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
LTC Haney earned his commission as an Air Defense Artillery Officer in 2004 from the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at the University of Georgia. His firstassignment was with 1st Battalion, 7th Air DefenseArtillery, 108th Air Defense Artillery Brigade Fort Bliss,TX where he served as Alpha Battery Launcher Platoon Leader, Charlie BatteryExecutive Officer, and Battalion S4. After the Battalion’s operational rotation to the Republic of Korea, LTC Haney was selected to serve as Secretary General Staff for the 32nd Army Air & Missile Defense Command at Fort Bliss, TX.
In 2009, LTC Haney served with the 3rd Infantry Division as the Division Battalion Captain during Operation Iraqi Freedom/New Dawn at COB Speicher, Iraq. Upon theirredeployment, LTC Haney commanded the Headquarters Support Company, 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, GA from January 2011 to January 2013.
Following graduation from the Advanced Civil Schooling Program and the Command and General Staff College, LTC Haney servedwith the 8th UnitedStates Army as the LiaisonOfficer to the Third ROK Army (TROKA) in Camp Yongin, Republic of Korea. He continued his tour in the Republic of Korea with the 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade being selected to serve as Battalion Executive Officer for the 6th Battalion, 52nd Air Defense Artillery at Suwon Airbase.
LTC Haney is a graduate of the Air Defense OfficerBasic Course, Captain’sCareer Course, Command and General Staff College,Joint Firepower Course,and the Joint Combined Warfighting School. LTC Haney holds an A.B. in Economics and B.S. in Psychology from the University of Georgia in Athens and a M.B.A. in Finance from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
His awards include the Bronze Star Medal, DefenseMeritorious Service Medal (1OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (3OLC), Army Commendation Medal (1OLC), and Army Achievement Medal.
LTC Haney is marriedto the former Ana CeciliaBernuy of St. Petersburg, FL. He and Cecilia have one daughter, Isabella (11), who attends Norfolk Academy in Norfolk, VA.

Ms. Leanna Peters, RD

Leanna Peters Biography
Leanna Peters is the 108th ADA BDE H2F Registered Dietitian and started this position during the pilot program in 2019. Leanna has worked in the wellness industry for over 20 years. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a Concentration in Fitness Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition with a Concentration in Dietetics and a Master’s degree in Nutritional Science from Arizona State University. Leanna is a Certified Sports Specialist in Dietetics, a NSCA Certified Personal Trainer, TRX Suspension Trainer and has multiple other certifications to further her skill set and knowledge base. She has worked in multiple health care settings, such as physical rehabilitation, fitness, skilled nursing, strength and conditioning, wellness administration and home health care. Leanna has experience working with individuals of all ages and with various needs, ranging from weight loss, eating disorders, sports-specific training, tactical training and nutrition with various SWAT Teams and Law Enforcement Departments, and clinical nutrition. She also created a nutrition and fitness consulting company in 2017, Purpose Driven Nutrition and Fitness, LLC™.
Ramon Cossio MS, CSCS
Mr. Cossio is a 12 year veteran of the Marine Corps where he served as an infantryman and held various billets to include squad leader, platoon sergeant, and martial arts-instructor trainer. Mr. Cossio has deployed in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom where he was awarded two Combat Action Ribbons, two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and a Bronze Star with "V". He received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University of Houston and his master’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Texas where he was a member of the Cardiovascular and Aging Laboratory. His professional experience has included roles as an operations and program manager for private and corporate fitness companies. Prior to his selection as the 11th ADA H2F Program Director Mr. Cossio was the Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach for 40th BEB, 2-37 AR, and 1 AD SUST BDE.
Dr. Rachael Lacey PT, DPT, LAT, ATC, SCS
Rachael received her B.S. in Athletic Training from the University of North Georgia in 2017. She then continued to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Georgia Southern University in May of 2020. She is Board-Certified in Sports Physical Therapy (SCS). From there, Rachael became a staff physical therapist at Southern Rehab and Sports Medicine located in Columbus, GA. She also served as an athletic trainer for Point University, Greenville High School, and the Phenix City Buccaneers simultaneously. Prior to this, she worked at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia as a staff athletic trainer. Rachael currently serves as the civilian physical therapist and clinical supervisor for the 11th Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Brigade, Holistic Health and Fitness Program.

Jared Renyer MS, CSCS
From the age of five on Jared has been involved in some sort of sport or activity. Growing up playing a list of sports from soccer, to basketball, to wrestling, and others there was never an off season. Jared recognized early on that strength and conditioning was going to need to be an important part of his development, and even better that he enjoyed doing it. Jared was fortunate enough for this love of training and helping others to eventually become his career.
Jared has been part of H2F since joining as a Strength and Conditioning Coach during the pilot in 2019 at Fort Drum working with 10BSB. During his time at Drum Jared promoted from an assistant to a Battalion Lead. In August of 2020 Jared move back home to Kansas when offered an opportunity work with the 97th MP Battalion at Fort Riley. During his time at Fort Riley, H2F shifted from being based at the battalion to the current Brigade model, Jared also shifted from the MPs to working with the 2nd Armored Combat Brigade Team for 1st Infantry Division. In September of 2021 Jared became the Division Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach working with 3 other coaches spread across the installation to augment each teams’ efforts in growing H2F.
Jared has recently moved into the H2F Program Director Position with 1st Combat Aviation Brigade at Fort Riley where he is excited to grow his team and H2F in the unit. Jared is married to his wife Gretchen of 13 years, and their two year old son Barrett keeps them very busy chasing him around the house. Jared still enjoys training, but has traded field and contact sports for disc golf now.

SGT Spencer Posey
Spencer was a high school three-sport athlete (soccer, wrestling, and lacrosse). He also was an accomplished chess player, attending the National Chess Championships twice in his adolescence, and is still a regular player.
He went into academia studying undergraduate and graduate Physiology and Pathophysiology at The Ohio State University.
He was enamored with the Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) concept and system and through that, built and leads a human performance team for the United States Army 3d Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) of ~1500 Soldiers.
SGT Posey was chosen across the Army enterprise to be featured nationally for the “Be All You Can Be” campaign. He currently has commercials running on National TV (NBC) in conjunction with American Ninja Warrior and is on Peacock during the “Salute Summer” special.
SGT Posey was the only member from the Active-Duty Army to be chosen for the Academia-Industry-Military Hybrid Innovator Cohort in the spring of 2023. Spencer’s team created an original innovative software platform called Intuicare that combines data from biosensors, smart garments and integrates with the Air Force’s field patient monitoring system (BATDOK) to provide warfighters with simple, succinct trauma response instructions that require no previous medical training. This saves lives, reduces the burden of training across the DoD and saves countless dollars.
SGT Posey is a Camp All Stars Counselor, Youth Impact Mentor, Volunteer Coordinator, and Volunteer of the Year for the National Veterans Memorial and Museum.
SGT Posey as works as a Strength and Conditioning Coach with HERO Cancer Health designing individual plans for patients with varying levels of physical and mental ability to help them progress back to daily life.
SGT Posey is a passionate leader devoted to increasing holistic health and performance. He offers unique value from many different forms of personal experience and education to positively impact any organization he works with.

Ben Smith, MS, RSCC
Ben Smith is currently the H2F Brigade Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach for 10th Mountain Division’s 10th Combat Aviation Brigade and has been since 2021. Prior to working with 10th CAB, Coach Smith 10th Mountain Division’s Brigade Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach for 1st Brigade Combat Team. Coach Smith started working in the tactical setting as a part of the H2F pilot program back in early 2019. Coach Smith started working with 1BCT’s 1-87 IN when H2F first rolled out for the 10th Mountain Division. Coach Smith has spent his career as a Strength & Conditioning Coach working primarily in the Military and CrossFit settings. Coach Smith received his Master’s Degree in Strength & Conditioning from Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Massachusetts in 2017. Coach spends his time learning and practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, taking his dogs for adventures in the forests of Northern New York, and reading as much as possible.

CPT Megan Balcom
CPT Megan Balcom is a native of Tucson, AZ and joined the Army November, 2007. She attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, SC and completed Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, Virginia as a 92W. She attended Direct Commissioning Course in January, 2020 and completed Basic Officer Leader Course in May 2020.
Her duty positions and assignments include Water Purification Specialist, 41st Field Artillery Unit,1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, Georgia, Staff Physical Therapist and Assistant Chief of the Rehabilitation Department at Irwin Army Community Hospital, and Holistic Health and Fitness Injury Control Director and Program Director, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas. CPT Balcom has one combat tour in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom from December 2009- December 2010 and one operational mission in support of Atlantic Resolve September 2021-July 2022.
Some of CPT Balcom's awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal (second award), Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Armed Forces Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon (second award), Overseas Service Ribbon, and Combat Action Badge. CPT Balcom is a graduate of The Colonel Douglas A. Kersey Advanced Clinical and Operational Practice Course for Physical Therapists. She holds a Bachelors degree in Rehabilitation Science with a minor in Neuroscience in which she graduated Summa Cum Laude and a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, both from Armstrong State University. She is an Orthopedic Board Certified Specialist in her field of physical therapy.
She has one dog named Brodie (8 months old).
Hunter Treuchet
Hunter currently serves as the H2F Program Director the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Liberty North Carolina. Prior to this position he held the role of Human Performance Program Advisor for the 24th Special Operations Wing, Air Force Special Operations Command from 2015-2021. He filled the role of strength and conditioning coach for the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron from 2012-15. His experience in athletics included roles in strength and conditioning with (Villanova University, College of William and Mary, Towson University, and The University of Notre Dame). He earned his B.S. from York college of PA in 2004 and M.S. from Ohio University in 2006.
Drew Hammond, MS, CSCS
A strength and conditioning coach by trade, Drew has spent the entirety of his career working as an embedded human performance professional within special operations and conventional military settings. In addition, he has consulted with a number of different military, federal, international, and domestic sporting organizations both in the United States and abroad. Drew holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a MSc in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. He currently serves as the H2F Program Director for the 44th Medical Brigade located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
David J Siu
Mr. Siu is currently serving as the H2F Program Director for 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division at Ft. Campbell, KY.
Mr. Siu served also as the first H2F Program Director for 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division at Ft. Bliss, TX from 2020-2022.
Prior to arriving at Ft. Bliss, Mr. Siu was the Team Manager for the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Integrated Operational Support Team, a human performance team comprised of Musculoskeletal, Nutritional, and Psychosocial subject matter experts. During that time Mr. Siu also served as the Alaska State Director for the National Strength & Conditioning Association.
Prior to serving on the Integrated Operational Support Team, Mr. Siu served as the inaugural Human Performance Manager for the Air Force Special Warfare Prep Course at Lackland AFB, in San Antonio, TX, overseeing a multi-disciplinary human performance team, and the physical training of PJ, CCT, TACP, and SOWT(SR) candidates, preparing them for success in their respective pipelines.
Before being selected to serve at the Air Force Special Warfare Prep Course, Mr. Siu served as both the Human Performance Manager and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for nearly a decade at the Naval Special Warfare Prep Course at Naval Station Great Lakes. He was an original architect, helping to design and implement the course curriculum, training over 15,000 enlisted Navy SEAL and SWCC candidates during his tenure.
Mr. Siu’s academic background is in Kinesiology and Exercise Physiology. He attended both Southern Illinois University, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he served as an undergraduate assistant in the Kinesiology Department, and as a graduate assistant in the Aquatics Department.
Mr. Siu is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a Scout Sniper Team Leader until 2003.

Eric Middleton, MA, CSCS
Eric Middleton received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in exercise science from California State University, Fresno graduating with distinction in 2015 and holds a CSCS from the NSCA. He pursued a professional career in tactical health and performance and joined the Army Wellness Center (AWC) team at Fort Irwin, CA. For three years, Mr. Middleton supported Active-Duty Soldier’s helping them meet their performance and wellness goals as a Health Educator. In 2018, he was promoted to Project Manager for the AWC at Fort Wainwright, AK and served a short term until he was promoted to Program Director over the AWC at Fort Johnson, LA. For three years, he served as a tactical human performance and health promotion subject matter expert for all Active Duty SM on the installation. In 2021 Mr. Middleton was hired as the Director for 3RD IBCT (LI), 10MTN DIV (LI) Holistic Health & Fitness (H2F) Program and successfully implemented one of the first H2F programs in FORSCOM. After establishment of the H2F program for 3RD IBCT (LI), 10MTN DIV (LI), Mr. Middleton sought a new challenge and is currently standing up the H2F program for 2ND IBCT (ABN), 11TH ABN DIV at JBER, AK.
Ms. Laura Miller graduated from Bridgewater State College May 2010 with Bachelors of Science Degree in Athletic Training. She became a State Licensed and Board-Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) in the summer of 2010 and became the lead Athletic Trainer for a middle-senior high school. During her time as an ATC she continued her education to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach in 2016 and receiving her Masters of Science in Strength and Conditioning from Bridgewater State University (BSU) in 2017.
Laura established the summer strength and conditioning program at West Bridgewater Middle-Senior High School for the Summer of 2017 and was hired for the inaugural Strength and Conditioning Coaching staff for BSU for the 2017-2018 School year. In 2018 she took a new Athletic Training opportunity to work in the industrial setting with utility workers for about a year before she accepted a position on the SR2T / H2F Pilot at Fort Drum with 10th Mountain Division, 3-10 General Support Aviation Battalion as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. She worked her way to become the Base Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach in 2020 for the Pilot program on Fort Drum before assuming her current role as the H2F Program Director for the 10th Mountain Division Sustainment Brigade in 2021.
Ms. Miller maintains her Certified Athletic Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist National Certifications. She maintains her USA Weightlifting level 1 Coach Certification. Has competed, coached and served as Team Athletic Trainer for national level meets in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting for Robinson Weightlifting in Franklin, MA having the opportunity to assistant coach Internationally sponsored athletes and Olympic Bronze Medalist in the sport.
Ms. Miller is not prior service but honors her Grandfathers and Uncle who served during WWII and Vietnam, respectively.
